What was the challenge?
The homeowners wanted to improve the functionality of their kitchen, increase storage capacity, and create a bold modern farmhouse aesthetic that complemented the home’s rural setting and scenic Foothills County views. Their renovation journey began with the removal of a bulky structural column that disrupted the main living area, opening the floor plan and creating an opportunity to rethink the kitchen layout. After an unsatisfactory experience with another design firm, the clients turned to Reborn Renovations for a fresh design direction that would blend contemporary style with subtle country influences while better supporting their family’s day-to-day needs.
What was delivered?
This kitchen renovation transformed a dated rural kitchen into a bright, spacious modern farmhouse hub that seamlessly integrates with the home’s dramatic vaulted ceilings and abundant natural light. Reborn Renovations developed a sophisticated palette of deep grey cabinetry, warm wood tones, and bright countertops and backsplash finishes to balance warmth and contrast. By retaining the existing sink and range locations, the team minimized mechanical costs and incorporated a large uninterrupted island that serves as both a functional workspace and a gathering area for entertaining. The removal of a dated corner pantry eliminated dead space, while relocating the refrigerator created an efficient working triangle that significantly improved workflow. Oversized pendant lighting and a substantial range hood were carefully positioned beneath the vaulted ceiling to enhance architectural symmetry, resulting in a kitchen that feels larger, more functional, and perfectly suited to both the home’s rural character and the homeowners’ lifestyle.
