What was the challenge?

The homeowner felt the existing kitchen was cramped and segmented, limiting both functionality and the flow of natural light. She wanted a larger, more usable space that would better support everyday living, provide easier access to the laundry area, and create a welcoming environment for gathering with family and friends. Preserving the home’s beloved 25-year-old hardwood flooring was also a key priority, ensuring the renovation reflected her personal style while maintaining the character of the home.

What was delivered?

Quartz & Clover transformed the kitchen into a spacious, bright, and highly functional hub by removing dividing walls and replacing the restrictive peninsula with a large island featuring integrated seating for guests. The new layout creates seamless connectivity between the kitchen, dining room, and surrounding living spaces while maximizing storage and workspace. A stacked laundry unit was cleverly concealed behind cabinet pocket doors, allowing it to function as both a discreet storage feature and a practical laundry station when needed. Opposite the laundry area, a two-way cabinet serves dual purposes as a laundry countertop and dining room serving station. To meet the homeowner’s wish to retain her original hardwood flooring, flooring specialists sourced matching materials and seamlessly patched affected areas, preserving the home’s character while delivering a fresh, modern design with subtle grey cabinetry and a striking green island.
