What was the challenge?

The main goal of the renovation was to create a light-filled space with an open floor plan, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. The open concept kitchen and living room, adorned with floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, met every expectation. These expansive glass elements not only invite an abundance of natural light but also create a seamless flow between the indoors and the lush backyard, effectively extending the living area and making the space feel even more generous.

What was delivered?

The homeowners made various upgrades to enhance energy efficiency, including installing energy-efficient windows, enhancing insulation, and adding solar panels to both the garage and main house. These changes led to substantial savings on their utility bills. Inside the open concept kitchen/living area, light wood flooring extends throughout, complementing the kitchen cabinetry and ceiling beams. The homeowners aimed to create a welcoming kitchen at the heart of their home by seamlessly connecting it to the living room to maximize natural light. Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors flood the space with light. The sunken living room/kitchen area provides a scenic view of the backyard, ideal for entertaining guests. A long island serves multiple purposes as a breakfast nook, wine corner, and food preparation area. The overall design blends warmth with a modern, neutral aesthetic using light wood tones.
