There is no job that you can't trust Chrysalis Construction to do an excellent job on! We certainly put that to the test over the last couple years. My husband and I found them on Houzz when we wanted to do a home renovation. It started with extending our 100 yr old house, and rebuilding our detached garage with a second floor rec room. The owner Edgar Zaldivar impressed us from the first meeting. He assisted us on working with the architect, the city planners, and then continued to manage all the trades. At times there were issues with trades that he would deal with, and we would hardly even know. Every trade he hired impressed us with their talent and skill.

Our home renovation became about as complicated as it could. The scope of the job changed several times, which was not a surprise with an old house. By our choice, the job actually tripled over time. We were so impressed with how everything was going, and the excellent workmanship, that we decided to keep going with our future renovation plans. Edgar was very adaptable to our many changes, and handled any obstacles as well as you could expect. This included raising our roof, wrapping our house, a new kitchen, 4 new bathrooms, and everything else right to the landscaping at the end. They also worked with us so we could continue living there for a lot of it, and impressed us with how they left things at the end of each day.

Chrysalis kept a very detailed spreadsheet of all the finances and future budgeting. Edgar remained attentive and dedicated to the job throughout the whole duration, and proved to be knowledgeable in every aspect of the job. He is very reliable, professional, an excellent communicator, and always took the time to explain all options available.
