Classic Contemporary Oasis

What was the challenge?

These clients loved their rural property but not the vintage aesthetic it came with. They wanted to ditch the outdated country look for a contemporary one. A bright and open ensuite with clean lines and neutral design elements was high on their priority list.

What was delivered?

The new ensuite features both modern and sleek fixtures, hardware, and materials bringing it into the 21st century. With a dramatic new freestanding tub, custom built cabinets, and clean lines created by the tile and glass elements found throughout, it’s drastically transformed the space into a contemporary and relaxing getaway. The raven-colored floor tiles were purposefully wrapped around the new free-standing tub to provide the perfect backdrop to this elegant space while the matte black fixtures and hardware elsewhere created contrast and depth to the otherwise
bright, white space.

The renovation made the space immensely more comfortable with a subdued color palette, substantially larger shower, and brighter light throughout. By pairing down the size of the entryway to the walk-in closet, they were able to expand their shower to include a bench and provide a handy spot for hanging towels nearby. They had to reimagine the space without changing the footprint itself which forced them to come up with some creative solutions for creating the illusion of more space.
