The Harlowe Ensuite

What was the challenge?

Lovers of eclectic design style, the clients wanted to revamp the existing space into the ensuite of their dreams. The homeowners were looking for a simple yet striking design for their dream ensuite. They wanted to lighten up the room and ensure the space better reflected their personal style. They chose a bright wall color and used a bright and simple shower tile. But the true star of the show is the timeless checker tile.

A major challenge in this ensuite was the tile installation. The artisan hand-made black and white tiles were sized slightly differently despite the measurements advertised. To ensure a symmetrical look and precise pattern the installer took extra time to line up the tiles as well as perfected the grout lines to resolve the issue.

What was delivered?

This beautiful ensuite now features stunning black and white checkerboard tiled flooring. To let this feature shine they chose to go with a simple white tile for the shower and a bright white paint color for the walls. The color palette of the room mainly follows a bright white palette, as to brighten up the space as much as possible. Additionally, they updated the toilet for energy efficiency as well as the showerhead and other shower fixtures. All in all, this space now integrates well with the rest of the home, following an eclectic design style.
