Beautiful Basement Buildout

What was the challenge?

Our clients were tired of their cold, dark, undeveloped basement and wanted a beautiful space to complete their stunning home!

What was delivered?

The renovation took their space from a one large, dim, undeveloped room to a bright and welcoming multi-functional
space complete with an entertainment area, guest retreat, and hobby rooms. To make the space feel bright and open the space was painted in a soapstone tone and decorated with pops of a cheerful yellow. With light from a host of LED potlights, the basement is warmed by maple cabinetry found in the bar, entertainment area and bathroom whilst rich LVP floors and a firebox complete with ember glass and driftwood round out the space.

Upon descending the homes newly exposed spiral staircase, you’re greeted by multiple areas to sit or be entertained. A hobby room and a music space hidden behind french style barn doors offers some kid friendly space, whilst tucked away for privacy and peace opposite, you’ll find a guest retreat complete with walk-in closet next to a stunning four-piece bath. We had to work around the existing curved staircase which occupied a very central space in the basement. By removing walls we were able to create a space that not only flowed better from the upstairs, but that set the boundaries for two distinct new areas.
