What was the challenge?

The goal was to create a personalized, luxury family home keeping it minimalistic and modern inside out. This exterior makeover maximized curb appeal and gave the property a completely refreshed look. Built with the typical finishes, this Burlington home was merely blending into the backdrop. The single-pitched roof, a mix of classic red brick with black shingles on this 1960’s detached home exterior did not help it stand out from the rest. The homeowner was willing to tackle a substantial renovation by expanding and remodeling the interior as well as the exterior.

What was delivered?

Located in this scenic Burlington neighbourhood, this home had its advantages of potentially achieving natural lighting with a beautiful, outdoor view. All new energy-saving windows on all sides of the home dramatically changed the exterior giving it a rustic yet modern edge. The windows specifically designed to trap the desired temperature and humidity level inside help reduce high electricity bills. Simulateously ,they contribute to the exterior appeal of the space making it significantly more visually appealing.

All finishes were selected to create a bold, striking new exterior and aesthetically appealing. The extension maximizes the value of the property making use of the entire land as well as making it practical and functional. which was a key requirement of the homeowners. With an addition to the overall space, the roofline was enhanced adding another pitched roof to the façade. A new covered porch with steps and columns at the entrance significantly creates a more welcoming visual. Keeping in line with the simple, Scandinavian theme, natural finishes were primarily used throughout the structure. A new garage door with a white-oak chevron pattern defines beauty and character giving the exterior of the home a much stronger first impression. It’s safe to say this stunning home has been transformed into a show stopping masterpiece.
