What was the challenge?

The renovation of the house on Hill Ave was a heartfelt endeavor, deeply rooted in family history and personal significance. Our client chose to revitalize his childhood home, where his parents had lived for nearly five decades, as a tribute to his cherished memories. Upon his parents’ departure, he and his wife purchased the property with the vision of transforming it into a modern sanctuary that could accommodate their own family’s needs and lifestyle. Driven by the desire to preserve sentimental value while embracing contemporary living, the renovation aimed to update and modernize the entire home, enhancing both style and flow.

What was delivered?

This extensive renovation project masterfully intertwined the home’s nostalgic essence with cutting-edge functionality. The house was thoroughly modernized, with special emphasis placed on the kitchen, which was designed to serve as a vibrant hub for family gatherings. By enhancing access to the backyard through All-Weather windows and sliding doors, the design introduced a breathtaking view of a resort-like paradise complete with a pool. The lower level was innovatively reimagined to include two distinct entertainment spaces for the teenage children, each accessible via its own staircase. Smart home features such as audio, video, security, and lighting controls were seamlessly integrated, showcasing a commitment to technologically advanced living. The thoughtful use of earthy materials and natural elements throughout the decor created a warm and cozy atmosphere, while the sleek, contemporary design elements like LVP flooring, quartz countertops, and custom cabinetry established a harmonious blend of aesthetics and practicality. This project was a testament to the successful fusion of family history, modern comfort, and stylish living.
