What was the challenge?

The objective was to transform the house into a more inviting and well-lit environment, emphasizing comfortable and tranquil areas with a clear purpose. The redesign of the entire dwelling, which boasts an open space that extends upwards and provides expansive views of the river and mountains, was inspired by the breathtaking scenery of the vast prairies. The design scheme featured natural, earthy tones and soft, light accents that matched the homeowner’s preferences. As the rooms did not require relocation, the main focus was on optimizing each space’s functionality and enhancing its aesthetics, elevating the builder-basic home to a luxurious, bespoke residence with close attention paid to the seamless flow between each room.

What was delivered?

The homeowners opted to keep their home’s existing layout while updating all interior finishes to achieve a brighter, more welcoming atmosphere with cozy and restful spaces. The Van Manna Homes team accomplished this goal by incorporating new cabinetry, flooring, paint, hardware, and fixtures. We were also able to save costs by retaining some current design elements, such as the concrete fireplace surround and glass panels in the interior railing. With a vast open-to-above space and stunning views of the river and mountains outside, the overall renovation was inspired by the natural beauty of the open prairies. The design features earthy tones of nature combined with soft and light finishes, perfectly aligning with the homeowner’s vision.
