What was the challenge?

The homeowners goal was to end up with a relaxing space that had enough room for two people to share comfortably and tie in with the rest of their home. Before the renovation, the space was cramped, dark and had all original millwork and trims. By removing the walkthrough closet and expanding the ensuite into that space, we were able to double the footprint of the washroom and create a truly serene space. The combination of different textures and colors emphasizes the design while creating visual interest. Natural light was extremely important to the homeowner, therefore keeping the skylight was a must

What was delivered?

The warm and inviting space is created through a combination of colors and textures that accent the design. The warm horizontal grain and recessed finger pulls on the vanity emphasizes the length of the washroom while providing easy accessible storage. The 3D faceted tile in the shower is accentuated by the natural light streaming through the skylight creating not only a physical texture but a visual one. Keeping the design cohesive are the matte black elements throughout. The black fixtures, finger pulls and mirrors lead your eye through the design from one element to another creating a seamless and contemporary look.
