What was the challenge?

These homeowners needed a warmer, brighter, more sheltered space from which to enjoy their gorgeous countryside views. They wanted to keep the existing siding, so the new deck and vaulted ceiling were finished to tie in perfectly to the existing house.

What was delivered?

By transforming the back deck into a full-fledged outdoor living space, they were able to offer the clients coverage, warmth, and light so they could comfortably enjoy their beautiful lot year round. The fireplace is surrounded by a solid granite slab with gold veining, creating a stunning reflection against the sconce style lighting and wood burning fire below. Warm Kayu exotic hardwood covers the new front entryway, deck structure and gable roof, while recessed strip, pot, and stair lighting provides flexible light coverage. The new space is drastically safer having removed over 1000 sqft of rotting wood front to back. New deck skirting and dense railings also served as a deterrent to nearby animals. One side of the deck was left uncovered to enjoy sunny nights in the hot tub, while the other finished with a stunning
vaulted roof to compliment the existing central gable. A third lower patio was also crafted to tie the two spaces together and offer additional space for entertaining.
