What was the challenge?

The homeowners wanted to transform their outdated, enclosed kitchen into a bright, open, and highly functional space that could serve as the true heart of their home. Structural modifications included removing interior walls and raising the main floor ceiling height to 10 feet, creating a seamless connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. A large central island anchors the design, providing generous workspace, storage, and seating, while a fully equipped butler’s pantry offers concealed storage and additional preparation space. Custom cabinetry, polished brass hardware, white oak ceiling beams, and a full-height porcelain backsplash combine to create a timeless aesthetic that balances warmth and elegance.
