The Modern Suite

What was the challenge?

With a growing family on the way, the clients wanted to update their dark basement into a bright and inviting lower level. No square inch was wasted in this space! CCR Build + Remodel was able to add an office, gym, TV room, bar, DJ station, fish tank feature, and guest suite. The main challenge was in getting all these items encapsulated within the project. Beyond that, they were able to design within regulatory demands and service locations to limit massive plumbing and mechanical relocations.

What was delivered?

All white everything with white oak accents really helped to make this small space feel larger and more open. This allows for dark accents to pop and future artwork to change up the feel of each room. The guest suite with open bathroom fixtures gives a resort-style experience to their house guests. Nano lights were used to alter colours and light patterns with sounds, which creates a unique house party setting when the homeowner shows off his DJ skills.

A modern Scandinavian style was used throughout to match the rest of their home and future goals. The gym area is complete with a mirror wall and rubber floor which can be seen through the beautiful new glass door wall. The TV area is complete with built-in fish tank which was a key priority during this renovation. All exterior walls and ceilings were newly insulated to allow for maximum comfort from the exterior elements and between levels.
