Farmhouse Charm Remodel

What was the challenge?

Though this home was already deemed as “open concept”, the clients were struggling with the layout as it was. The clients wanted to improve sight lines from the kitchen, have a designated eating place and incorporate an island into the room which they did not have. Another priority was having a butlers pantry which would lead to the dining room. A modern farmhouse aesthetic was important as well. 

What was delivered?

The new kitchen design creates a perfect rhythm for the family of four. It now flows seamlessly from the pantry, living room and breakfast table. The large island in the center of the kitchen not only acts as a gathering and eating space but a main hub for food preparation with its proximity to the gas range and fridge. The walk in pantry showcases some unique features such as cabinets with a hand painted metal mesh screen to ensure equipment for the homes integrated sound system can easily “breathe”. It also includes a secondary pot filler used to fill the coffee maker.
