What was the challenge?

The homeowners embarked on a renovation project with the intention of creating a more open and inviting atmosphere within their home. They desired to enhance the flow of the space by opening up certain areas, making their living environment more cohesive and connected. One of their main motivations was to enlarge the windows on the back wall of the living room to capture the scenic beauty of their exquisitely maintained property, offering an unobstructed view of the pool and backyard. This desire for openness extended throughout the home, prompting a reconfiguration of spaces to achieve a seamless transition between different areas.

What was delivered?

The renovation project was meticulously designed to fulfill the homeowners’ vision of an open and aesthetically pleasing home. In the kitchen, custom cabinetry was crafted to maximize functionality while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout the house. The kitchen designer worked closely with the clients to ensure a smooth flow that aligned with their usage needs. The living room was transformed with the fireplace becoming a stunning focal point, adorned with stone veneer and flanked by built-in cabinetry. Wood-clad beams added warmth and character to the ceiling. The ensuite was expanded to include a walk-in, curbless shower and a full-length niche, enhancing its elegance. The renovation also embraced a neutral yet warm color scheme, with wood tones and stone textures enriching the space. The open-concept floor plan was emphasized by removing walls, integrating the kitchen, dining, and family room into a unified space. This approach provided expansive views of the outdoors and created a more functional layout, catering to the needs of a large family while ensuring the new design harmonized with the existing exterior aesthetics and neighborhood charm.
