What was the challenge?

n desperate need of updating, this 50s bungalow was completely stripped to the studs, modernizing the layout & improving energy efficiency. In a home filled with lasting memories, it was vital that they achieve the customers’ dream of having a comfortable and timeless home while staying within the original size footprint.

What was delivered?

Due to our limited footprint, organization, materials, and colour pallet were at the forefront of this homes’ design.
Removing walls and opening up the living spaces allowed sunlight to flow throughout the home for the first time! Now with limited wall space, they needed to plan for practical and aesthetic cabinetry. With the use of timeless colours and materials, They created three distinctive spaces (dinning, kitchen, and coffee station) while still having the space feel airy and inviting. The true show stopper is the hidden basement door. Through here, the homeowner can access the basement suite without bringing attention to the access point or taking away from the minimalistic aesthetic.
