What was the challenge?

The homeowners wanted to transform their narrow, outdated ensuite into a spacious and calming retreat that would better support their daily routines while providing a luxurious space to unwind. Their vision included dual vanities for added functionality, a steam shower to promote wellness and relaxation, and a freestanding tub that would serve as a focal point for a serene, beach-inspired sanctuary. The renovation also aimed to improve the layout, privacy, and overall flow of the space, creating a more comfortable and functional ensuite tailored to their lifestyle.

What was delivered?

The completed renovation reimagines the cramped ensuite as a tranquil spa-inspired retreat filled with natural textures, light, and thoughtful design details. Entered through a cedar-clad hidden door from the primary suite, the space features pebble flooring, large-format tile, a steam shower, and a deep freestanding tub framed by custom floating quartzite vanities with waterfall edges. Structural modifications and careful integration within the home’s existing rooflines allowed the team to maximize space, improve privacy, and create an open, uncluttered layout. Enhanced by custom mirrors, decorative lighting, larger privacy-frosted windows, and ample storage, the ensuite now delivers the relaxing, resort-like atmosphere the homeowners had envisioned.
