What was the challenge?

The clients purchased an older home and wanted to bring the exterior of their home into the twenty-first century. The original exterior of this home was very neutral with red brick, beige siding, and white windows.

The client wanted to change the look of the house without a huge structural change. However, once the project was started it became clear the structure of the master bedroom needed additional work as it was sinking. To correct this, helical piers were used, the exterior and interior walls, were reframed, and the floor system was rebuilt.

What was delivered?

A brighter, more contemporary look was achieved by painting the existing brick, updating the siding to board and batten, replacing the old white vinyl windows with new windows with black frames, plus a new front door. The curb appeal of this home was increased significantly while maintaining the integrity of the neighborhood. Although a standard color was chosen for the siding, the white creates a clean look in contrast to the original taupe.
